Thought I'd pop a few words on here, as its usually just 'aural pleasures' but I've got some words and pictures for a change!
If anyone likes De La Soul you'll probably already know they are on a UK tour at the moment, kicking off a series of dates, in Newcastle, with the support of Sagaboiflex, what a name eh? and you want to see his jacket too! (Its floral for anyone wondering and firmly on my wishlist).

From start to finish the night was filled with ENERGY, excitement and some seriously good vibes.
The support act were a total suprise, LJ bringing beats and Sagaboiflex some rhymes, with social commentary about daily life, making your own way and the dating game, the lyrical delights made me laugh and smile. These Boi's were bossing it!

De La Soul lit up the stage, as did, the big smiles, brilliant banter and of course the competitive crowd cheering divide. Who doesn't love a bit of healthy competition eh? Just to let you know I was on the winning side (split down the middle at the front!), led by Trugoy the Dove, sorry POS, if you're reading this, better luck in Bristol!? Jokes, of course, everyones a winner!

Maseo couldn't make it, which could have been disappointing but obviously wasn't as, DJ Strike made up for it, dressed in crossfit apparrel, ready for his energetic workout on stage and the turntables. POS and Trugoy the Dove, have some serious stage presence with huge energy and playful vibes rubbing off onto the crowd, how could it not? They made the photographers put their cameras down to join in with the fun and raise their hands in the air to a tune. Thank goodness someone was made to put their cameras down for a change, lets just enjoy the moment eh guys?

Dres from Black Sheep made a welcome appearance too and joined in with bringing the good vibes. There were classics throughout the night with performaces of 'The Choice is Yours' and the crowd bending down to springboard back up to 'Pick it up' lyric. You're in for a treat if this is their party trick!

The whole night felt electric, connected and mainly a whole lot of fun!
If you haven't got your tickets for their upcoming dates, do it now. Listening to the albums great but seeing them live is way better. Get involved people! :)
